A Legacy of Service
After a distinguished career in the Indian Army, Colonel Divya Thakur retired in 2019, having lived a life defined by discipline and responsibility.
During the global pandemic of 2020, our family moved to Himachal to be with Colonel Thakur’s father-in-law, Lieutenant General B.S. Thakur, a veteran of over 40 years of service.
It was here that we decided to revive our ancestral apple orchard. Moving away from the traditional contractor model, we took the helm ourselves — applying the same values of discipline to the soil.
Challenging the “Organic” Buzzword
As we stepped into farming, we encountered a troubling reality: the word “organic” had increasingly become a marketing label.
Produce marketed as organic often still relied on chemical sprays or cosmetic treatments.
For us, integrity is non-negotiable. So we chose the difficult path, not the easy one.
